My wife got a Ruger American Ranch with the camo stock yesterday in .223/5.56. I slapped an Elite 3x9 scope on it with quick detach rings and we went out with PMC fact ammo and some of my reloads. After a difficult scope adjustment she was shooting dime size groups at 40 yards off the bench. Trigger was awesome, no creep, nice pull weight. Can't say enough good things about it!
I have one of these, but with the tan stock. I have not had many opportunities to fire it - but initial accuracy results are very good. My brother has a Ruger American in 308 Winchester, and it is a tack driver !
I have two a 22-250 and a 308. Both are very accurate. Not bad for the price.
