Went to the range this morning after work last night. After my first outing
with my encore .223 with mgm 15.875” bull barrel with 6er brake ,I narrowed
My load to 24.5 up to 26.5 with varget and Sierra 60gn tmk bullets.i couldn’t
Stand it no longer , so I just had to go after waiting almost 2 weeks
My load ended up being 25.0 gn varget shooting 5 shot groups at 100 yards . Now
I need to get a good pistol grip set and have it pillar beded and a better scope I just
thru a Barska on there 6x24x50 not very clear but seen target good enough.
I’m excited to see what this gun can really do after I learn all the tuning tricks
From you all any advice on tuning will be greatly appreciated thanks !!!

I’m not sure you’ll be able to improve much on that group! You asked for tuning tips, so:

- a trigger job will help you to shoot tiny groups more often.
- a good, solid rest will make your groups more consistent.
- case prep: all the same lot, trimmed to length, primer pockets uniformed, sorted by weight.

The last tip might help a bit by reducing flyers but none will make a huge difference. Good luck.

Pillars I doubt will do much if anything. Floating the front screw seems to do as much as anything when the barrel heats up.

Good shooting, 25.5 doesn't look too shabby either!
