I'm thinking about buying a LA savage receiver to make into a 338-06 AI. My concern is where do I go to find a stock for such a critter?

You could use one of the chassis out there and remove the stock. Or a custom would have to be made

Here is going to be your most economical stock if you get one of their seconds. I paid $99 dollars for mine and 9 dollars and some odd cents shipped but I know the price is up since then.You have to watch out for center feed or stagger feed and safety location.
