Hi, I've got my first XP-100 on its way to me, a 7mm BR , that I would like to change to 7mm-08. Is it a pretty straight forward process to have a smith ream the chamber out for the depth difference? Thanks for any input.

It’s strait forward as long as the factory chamber isn’t off center or oversized. The best bet is to fit a new barrel

Thanks! Appreciate it.

Having it reamed to .284 Win. would clean up the existing chamber better and you could load it down to 7-08 levels if needed. Just my ![]()

you could also go with the 7 INT-X which will clean it up nicely ------------------------------ The Wind is your Friend,,,RIGHT... Cayle

Another option would be 7-08 imp, that would also clean the chamber up nicely. Albert ------------------------------ Life Member NRA Navy Submarine Veteran

If you were to decide to not re-chamber, I have one in 7-08 that I might be talked out of, as I no longer shoot silhouette

Thanks! I'll consider that. The XP-100 is supposed to be here Friday.
