Cody,
That's nice shooting in the wind with that big bullet thumbup
The day that I ran her out to 600 there was no wind, and putting hits on the gong were pretty easy once I got the elevation dialed.
That big gun is a shooter Big Grin

Bears beware!

Excellent shooting and attitude. Only 45-70 XP-100 seen locally was in LGS with 4 rounds gone from a box of ammo. Stock XP-100-both shooters had stitches between their eyes after 2 rounds each! ;-). I passed on it for a Savage Stryker in 7mm-08!

Assuming it was a lightweight barrel and or it did not have a muzzle brake???
I have enjoyed the process of Cody getting this one rolling.
Makes me want to get my 375 Snipe-Tac (375 Chey-Tac Improved) scoped up and running again.

Highly doubt it was a XP-100 in .45-70, especially if you are calling it "stock"....
Maybe a T/C u are referring to...

This such a cool looking rig and a round to be respected. What stock and bypod did you go with. Also, who carries brass for this round. roger

Starline makes brass that I have been happy with. Slightly longer then the Hornady brass that I am not as happy with. I was told by SKS that starline seemed to hold up longer then other options.

I use R-P brass that I’ve collected over some time. Just what works for me.

I cut down a Choate Ultimate Varmint stock and use a Harris bipod.

Nice! A lot have gone too the lighter bullets in the ole 45-70 but I struggle with running light weights in the big bores. I'll bet you get some serious penetration with those bullets. Wink
