posted
Sold my Striker so a little extra money.Have an original xp 100 221 FB.Thinking on doing a Remage. If I go to-Im thinking-6x47 lapua, could I use a bolt out of my 600 or my 660 rem.rifles both 243? Then just put back in rifle when needed? Or would any work need done to bolt?If work would be needed i would try to find another bolt as both rifles are mint. Another thing .I would need another stock for a heavy bbl-been looking on auction sites with no luck.Any one knows who sells them?I dont shoot competition, just targets and groundhogs so a less expensive one or used would be greatly appreciated THANKS for any advise p.s. also have a 350 rem mag rifle-also a 600 Rem.,could I use bolt for a mag caliber with no alterations to bolt?

The bolts should fit fine but the headspace “might” be different depending on which bolt you used from which gun. Magnum bolt would fit fine but again headspace chech but easy to adjust with Remage setup.

Why not do a 6x45 and use the existing bolt.
Not a huge difference in performance and you don't take apart your other gun.

6x45 would be good for me.Since I have to rebarrel for the 6mm,may as well get a little more.Sliding a bolt out of the 600 rifles is simple enough. Then slide back in when I shoot them.Luckily, have little over a thousand 6mm bullets, mostly Bergers I got YEARS ago-probably 10 or more.
