Posting some pics for mrk1500 of a very unique XP stock and case. Someone was/is really talented. I'll let Mitch fill in the details.

Thanks Rick! I bought this on a auction site a couple years ago and wanted to show it. It was made in 1979 by J.A ROGER JOANIS. What a nice job he did. Stock has leather inserts on the sides and bottom of the grips. The case is a piece of art in itself. It is padded and pocketed out and covered with red felt The stitching is awesome. Just curious if anyone has heard of or seen anything else from him. Thanks for looking

FYI.... The forward pistol grip may give you some NFA problems. https://www.atf.gov/firearms/d...rip-handgun/download

Very Cool Never one like that DAN

Very unique XP. I sent pictures to several silhouette shooters and one replied with this. There was a long range match shot standing at a range run by gun writer Dick Metcalf where these were used as I recall. http://www.pasapark.com/pasa/overview/pasa-history/

I hope you are kidding! I'll send you a plastic factory stock and then you can just have an interesting piece of wood in a case. ------------------------------ I think it better to do right, even if we suffer in so doing, than to incur the reproach of our consciences and posterity. Bobcat, I wouldn't do that as the stock only had that action in it to see how it fit and what it looked like. It reminded me of a Tommy gun. Thanks for the offer though!

Back in the day. The Masters Championships shot in Mo. some of the competitors used guns specifically built like that. Two local guys built a Sako action into a pistol with a stock similar to that. They even milled the bottom out to accept a AR-15 magazine opened up to feed 7tcu rounds. They shot a "flying W". Targets at 150 and 200 yds/mtrs. They shot in the prone position. Unfortunately no pictures. They came to our silhouette match back in the mid to late 80s to try out their new gun. I now wonder what happened to that gun. The barreled action is a one of a kind. I know some people from the same home town as these guys. I'm going to ask around. Greg Life Member NRA 7/27/2010 80x80

Your not thinking of this style that was specifically built for the masters? ![]()

You could be right. It's been a long time since I've seen them or the gun. But it did use a 10? round AR magazine. Greg Life Member NRA 7/27/2010 80x80
