I was wondering if any of you have an opinion on how Hornady's new 6.5 PRC cartridge would work in a 16" barrel XP-100 vs. the 6.5 Creed in the same set up? Both shooting their 143 grain ELDX to be used for long range deer (400 500 yards). Would the 6.5 PRC maintain it's advantage over the 6.5 Creed. due to the barrel lengths involved? Thanks for any thoughts you may have.
The PRC is in between the creedmoor and the 6.5 GAP 4S. Actually closer to the GAP (6.5 saum) . Interesting that hornady came out with the PRC since the GAP case is a hornady propriety for GA Precision. However you can use 7 saum brass resized and neck turned for the GAP 4S. Not sure who has the PRC reamers available. George Gardner has some good information on the PRC
All in all it should work just fine in the 16” XP.
I will stick with my GAP 4S though
