New Remington long action left hand centergrip 25/06

Just finished this build. I got an undesignated bare action and assembled components from there. I got a stainless bolt and an xp trigger and a stainless recoil lug. Modified the recoil lug and modified the trigger. I also milled the action so I could use the safety. Used a model seven shroud to clear safety. I got a Wilson blank and threaded and chambered it an fit a Vais brake on it. I shot it yesterday and first three groups were all around an inch with a book load. After break in i will try some load development and see how well i like these barrels.

Not quite used to “idea” of left bolt yet. Kept reaching for bot on right side after each shot!

I'am right handed but wanted to try shooting a left hand rig right handed.
Turns out I like it better than my right hand rigs.
In my case, right hand stays on and controls the stock while my free left hand works the bolt and feeds ammo. And NO reaching across to work the bolt.

Pretty hard to go back to shooting my right handed rigs.

That is beautiful! I love it. What stock/grip is that? How hard was it to get the xp100 trigger in the 700 action?

Trigger was easy. Just had to lengthen the linkage. Safety was a bear. Had to trim a notch in receiver. Stock is one I made.
