McMillan group buy stock info needed
Good day
I bought a stock on the group buy for the xp100 and need to know if an xp action is the only one I can use or if there is a rifle action that will fit.
Thanks

If the action is a clone of the XP action, then, yes for sure.

Any idea what model rifle would have that action?
Finding an xp action up hear is extremely hard and the import fee is the same on an action as it is on a finished gun so if I could find a rifle for the action I'm hoping that would work.

I believe the Remington XR-100 is the same action, but I do not know if you can get it as a non-designated action.
Action screws are likely to be different...Not sure.

I'm probably having a senior moment but I thought the Remington Model 600 -- and later the Model 660, was the same action??? I'm probably way off but wanted to throw this option Mike's way...…..

They were close but the original XP100 was a single shot, the 600 & 660 were repeaters.

Yeah, one I have to watch is the action designation. Here I can buy a non restricted action and convert it to restricted or vice versa once then that action stays in that classification forever. The ATF told me that wasn't allowed in the United States. Whatever the action left the factory as is what it stays. Here I've heard of quite a few people used to buythe Xp 100 pistol action and converting it to make bench rifles. Can't remember the reasoning but those restricted actions are now classified non restricted forever.
