This gun was built on a long action stainless Remington receiver. It is a 25/06 and I was using 110 Accubond bullets. This is one of the most pleasant shooting centergrip pistols I have built. I like. What length barrel and what are you getting for velocity with the 110s. That is a very nice pistol. I had to edit this cause that isn’t going to be enough information. Tell us about that chassis too. Dave

I trimmed the barrel in this one to just under 18”. Probably a little long but I like it. I do not know velocity (yet). I find an accurate combination then establish velocity. I have posted a lot about the chassis in the past but I removed most of it. I did this project for myself, not to go into business. It appeared there was some commercial idea “farming” that I did not like. Great cartridge. Great looking gun. Although I do think that 16-16.5" is a little more practical hunting length for my purposes. I am getting 2,818 with a 115 gr. Ballistic Tip with my 15" Encore using RL-25, if that gives you any idea of velocities. ------------------------------ Good Shooting Makes Good Hunting NRA Patron Member, FTRA Member; Life Member SCI, NAHH, RMEF, and NSRPA; HHI Member #7108, Member CBA, NSSF "A man can never have too much red wine, too many good books, or too much ammunition." Very nice looking setup that appears to shoot quite nicely. I am interested in hearing more about your experiences with it in the future. I recently traded into a factory 25-06 15" encore barrel that I want to start working with.

You will be very pleased with the 25/06 factory barrel. I shoot the 115 gr. Ballistic tips in mine with either Accurate-4350 or RL-25. Best factory load that I have found is the Federal 117 gr. Flat Base (cheapie blue box). ------------------------------ Good Shooting Makes Good Hunting NRA Patron Member, FTRA Member; Life Member SCI, NAHH, RMEF, and NSRPA; HHI Member #7108, Member CBA, NSSF "A man can never have too much red wine, too many good books, or too much ammunition."
