What documentation do I need to keep for a undesignated Remington long action if I build it into a centergrip pistol? Really nothing....maybe the box if ya want. I always recommend having it engraved "pistol" | |||

The mfg registered it as a receiver when it left the factory, so a record check will find it was neither pistol or rifle when it left the factory meaning it can be either. Hoggin, Good idea to engrave "Pistol". Does not effect the legality, but may eliminate some BS on the road. deepwater | |||

If it is a receiver it must be marked "other" in box #18. To indicate anything else is fraud. https://www.atf.gov/file/61446/download Mark | |||

There's been a lot of discussion regarding dealers marking the form as one or the other with tc contender/encore frames.
