Is the barrel on a 308 striker 510 too thin to have threaded for a muzzle break?

A brake shouldn't be a problem, they make them with threads as small as 1/2".

You can get a muzzle brake fitted to just about anything. The problem is the smaller the barrel the fewer options are available.
