Hardly ever see anything posted on this fine cartridge anymore.
Super accurate, non finicky to load / form brass ect....my favorite deer hammer.
Took out the mk-40 at 100 yds to chrono some 162 amax / 4064......2250 fps.
Lets see your Ihmsa's. Guns, groups, loads, stories....whatever.
Good to see one of those still going. Elgin Gates really came up with some good stuff.
Yea I wore out his book Metallic Silhouette Shooting.... lol Probably been 30 years.
Never competed in silhouette but applied much of that to handgun hunting.
The 6.5 creed, x47 are not much different to what Elgin did 40 years ago.
Nice shooting 44!
Glad to see someone still shooting the 7 IHMSA.
On that note. If anyone is interested. I have a XP barrel, Dies, Brass. I will sell very cheap. Just want then going where they can be used.
I have the mk 40 too. Still shoot silhouette with it and it is also my favorite deer gun. Found 500 of the speer 7mm 130 fp/sp bullets at a gun auction 3 years ago. These were intended for the 7-30 waters. Makes a helluva deer bullet for this cartridge and I have a lifetime supply!
