You can expect somewhere from 2800 to 3000 FPS at least.

I have a 17" on mine and get 2785 fps with 140 Berger VLDH's. I pushed slightly higher and developed pressure signs.

PS..........Awesome cartridge. Worked extremely well on plains game in Africa and hogs here in Cali.

I have one with a 16" barrel. I'll try to chronograph it when I get a chance. Derek what powder are you using?

Thanks for all your help. I am going to use a 6.5x20 leupold with cds and i though get free cds caps i needed velocity for it

I’m running 2800 FPS with 140 Berger Vld’s from a 17” Carbon Six 1-8 twist barrel with H1000. 2850 FPS with 135 grain Hornady A-tips. The gun weighs in at 6 lbs with the 2-10 NF scope. Easy to pack around and light recoil with the Holland muzzle brake. I have pushed the 140’s faster but pressure signs were showing, and accuracy wasn’t as good. Have killed a nice black bear and a big 4x4 Arizona mule deer with it.
