Does anyone know what scope bases would fit a Wichita MK40 pistol?
May have to find a base with the same contour and possibly drill extra hole but would like to find one that fits out of the box.
I have had to make them for customers. I don’t think anything out there fits.
You might be inquire at the IHMSA board.
For some reason I thought they were the same as a model7 Remington
G whiz, it's a Contender or a G2, never was a G One!
If I remember correctly I put a savage long action on my mk 40 I will have to do some digging but I should be able to get the part number for it to ya in a day or two. I can put a pic in too.
It is a weaver base for the savage rifle post 2003 long action. It is a one piece base. number 413t48329. The rear screw holes line up but not the front. I had a gunsmith do the front. ejection of brass not a problem.
I understand that the weaver #85 bases will also work for the MK 40. It is a small base and you will need two but the holes match up so no drill or taping needed. these are part number 48085
Thanks for the info. I was sure there had to be a base or bases that could be used on my MK40.
Mine has 8-40 screws, not sure if that's normal or if they where opened up on mine. I use 2 Remington 700 front bases ( 1 standard, 1 extended front) with Burris signature rings.. The hole pattern on the Wichita is same front and rear which matches the rem 700 front spacing. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Nitemann,
