Hello ! Im starting a load work up on new xp build in 6.5-284 , has a 17" bartlein barrel 1-8 twist , want to shoot 130 bergers VLD Hunting bullets , I have on hand , H4350, IMR-4350, hybrid 100V , RL-17 , looking at a good place to start , so some of you guys that shoots the 6.5-284 , please give me a little help , thanks guys . I shoot 47.0 grs of H4350 in mine in the cooler months but have to back off some when it gets hot as I start to get flattened primers..Velocity is between 2650-2700 out of an 18 inch barrel,and that is with 140`s..Hope this helps,I have never shot anything lighter in it,just the 140`s

15" bull barrel (.995" dia.) Encore.

CCI BR-2 primers...Hornady 129 gr. #2620...50.7 grs. H4831SC.

Nosler 130 gr. AB, 48.0 gr. Hybrid, CCI LR. According to a friend with a chrono this gets 150-200 fps more than near max loads with the other calibers. It shoots a lot flatter in my XP. The top of the bottom crosshair on the 3-12 Burris BPlex is on at 550 for this load. With WW760 was on at 500 yards.

Doc what barrel length are you running on your XP? Thanks.

I have used Hybrid 100V with 140's and H-4350 with 130's.
Both have worked great for me and Erik
