I was at Seven and I actually cut it back to Three. Harder to find reloading supplies. Also believe that every gun you have should be shot. So I went down to three and shoot the heck out of them. Still have just as much fun and can AFFORD to reload them.

I feel that the perfect start would be 2 pistols in each major caliber, one on each end of the power spectrum. Once that is set up you can start to fill up the holes left in the power spectrum.

The 6.5 JDJ for big game long distance. The 375 JDJ for med to short distance big game. And the 223 for plinking, varmint. I figure those three cover anything in North America to hunt. Prairie Dogs all the way to Kodiak Brown Bear. So I'm happy. And for really long distance I have my rifles. But even in those I only have 4. 270 win, 243 win, 50 cal muzzleloader, and 450 marlin.

Yes the yellow one! Traded my wby cfp for a 17 mach iv xp100 with jewel trigger.

Do not get pd vacation in my line of work. Have to make hay when the sun shines so to speak. Usually 7 days a week, 12 hr days. Depending on the weather and the job.
